Changed my theme! I was totally torn between this one and Champêtre which is ever so ever so sci-fi. In the end the fact that this one suited my default icon better swung it for me, but I may have to go and make some sci-fi icons and revisit the decision when I've done that.
Somehow 'vaguely fantasy-ish' seems more inclusive than 'vaguely hard sf-ish', in the sense that you might expect to see a broader range of content in a fantasy-ish than an sf? History seems to go better with fantasy, for example, as does anthropology, and yet why should that be? IDK.
But maybe I need some SF icons anyway :) I will make some and then try to remember how to go about putting them in a table and offering them for adoption.

I think a fantasy-esque appearance lends a warm, story-like quality to history/anthropology while a sci-fi appearance makes one think of cold, clinical analyzation. *shrugs*
Yay! Icons! :D Very cool.

Oh, that's a very good point. More of a 'hearing things around the campfire' and less of an 'aliens examining human culture through a microscope' feel :)

When I was getting this started I really was afraid that I'd have to learn some code to change the appearance and I was not sure that I was going to be equal to the task. :P So relieved to find the premade themes. I've noticed plenty of repeat themes, so I don't think we're the only ones not eager to cross that bridge. (*lies to self* maybe one day ;D)
