Given that Hux knows all the details about who Kylo is, you can see why he hates him so much.
Here’s Hux, born an Imperial, snatched away from his mother at age 5 when the New Republic attacked his planet. Endured great hardship in the Unknown Regions. Was reviled all his life for being a bastard. Abused by his father and his father’s cronies all his life.
People disrespect him to his face even when he’s clawed his way up to the position of general. His superiors in the organization insult him, ridicule him. Everyone knows his father hates him and they drop that into the conversation whenever they please. No one even fears him enough to pretend respect for him.
Meanwhile, here’s Kylo - born a prince, celebrated as a beacon of hope by the Republic and the diaspora of Alderaan. Possessor of godlike powers. Beloved of his parents and his society and seemingly the whole galaxy.
Even an old recluse who’s been out of contact with society for 30 years takes one look at Kylo’s face - Kylo doesn’t even have to be conscious for this to happen - and sees hope, sees something that gives him wonder and joy for the future. That old man treats Kylo as if he’s precious, simply because of where his genes came from.
No wonder Bylsma has to die. No wonder - after being forced to smilingly admit to him while he idolizes Kylo for having been born, that two deathstars aren’t very creative - Hux wants to use Starkiller to kill him himself.
And just as Hux has - by patient endurance and judicious murder - clawed his way up to a position of status and relative safety, here comes Kylo, this man to whom the galaxy has given everything Hux wants from life, shoehorning his way into the top dog position like it’s his by right.
I don’t think Kylo would have had to do anything bad to Hux for Hux to hate him. But Kylo slips into the FO tradition of belittling Hux like all the rest of them, and unlike most of them, he has Snoke’s ear and can potentially get Hux killed. Privileged, overpowered, unassailable Kylo, a traitor to his own people, rebel scum by birth, who could probably go home to mummy whenever he pleased and be welcomed, who keeps asking why Snoke keeps Hux around at all.
It would take a much less petty man than Hux not to hate Kylo for that alone.
